1. Necessary preferences
nq_analytics_consent (first-party cookie) and neonquanta.analyticsConsent.v1 (local storage): save granted or denied, timestamp and consent version for 180 days. They remember your privacy decision and contain no unique visitor ID. If both storage methods are unavailable, a later visit may ask again.
neonquanta.locale.v1 and neonquanta.stack.v1 (local storage): remember language selection, selected catalog engine IDs and billing interval. They stay in this browser until changed or cleared and do not grant paid entitlements.
neonquanta.languageSuggestion.dismissed.v1 (local storage) remembers that you dismissed a language suggestion, until you clear browser storage.
2. Account and requested checkout storage
Clerk uses necessary session and security cookies when you use account functions. Exact names and expiry depend on the active Clerk session and security configuration. Stripe and Link use their own necessary payment, fraud-prevention and login storage in the embedded payment form and hosted billing portal. Those providers present their own privacy information. Stripe.js loads when you request checkout after signing in. Optional NeonQuanta analytics is a separate choice.
neonquanta.checkoutRequest.v2 and neonquanta.checkoutReturn.v1 (session storage): retain a checkout retry reference, selection, timestamp and safe return path for this browser tab. Checkout client secrets, card numbers and Link credentials are not written to this storage. Completed payments clear the current retry reference; it also ends with the tab session.
The PayPal SDK loads only when you choose a configured PayPal checkout after signing in. PayPal uses its own necessary payment, authentication and fraud-prevention storage under its privacy information. The website remembers only an opaque checkout request reference for safe retries; PayPal passwords and access tokens are not kept in browser storage by NeonQuanta.
3. Optional Google Analytics cookies
_ga and _ga_HGWQP8KNX2 may be set after analytics consent to distinguish browsers and sessions. Their configured maximum lifetime is 180 days, without renewal on every page visit. No Google Analytics library is requested before consent. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization remain denied.
4. Managing storage
Use Analytics preferences in the footer to accept or reject. Rejecting does not block browsing, account access or the language selector. Browser settings can remove cookies and local storage, but doing so may sign you out and remove remembered choices. A privacy choice is specific to this browser; it does not cancel a subscription or delete an account.
